Apocalyptic Landscapes, 1913

The Burned-Out Homeless Ones, 1912
These are two paintings from Ludwig Meidner’s Apocalyptic Landscapes series.
I just wanted to figure out how to put images in a post, something I’ve been procrastinating about learning. So we’ll see if this works.

Yup, that was easy enough.

Very bleak paintings. Striking, but I would not want them in my house-I get depressed easily enough!
Can you put some inspiring agricultural images on here?

When I post paintings again I’ll look for some. Maybe some Millet?
Although this isn’t an agricultural image, maybe you’ll like it.

Do you mean a painter named Millet or the plant?
Either way, it sounds good.

Here’s a short bio of Millet, including two of his typical paintings of peasants. His most famous is probably “The Sower”.

Is millet one of the perennial grasses we need to emphasize? I forget.
